Log Train Trail Regional Park

 Location: The Log Train Trail extends along the base west side of the Beaufort Mountains in the Alberni Valley. It begins about a kilometer east of the city and ends 25 km to the NW at the end of Sommers Road.

Description: This Linear Regional Park is intended for day use. It is suitable for family outings by horse, bike or foot. the trail is mostly wooded but also offers scenic views of the valley from  openings where farm fields abut the trail. the main public access points are at the end of Mabelle Road, MacLean Mill National Historic Site, and Sommers Road.
