| A hike around a remote mountain lake On this ecotour, you'll journey up the Cameron Valley. The Cameron River is the river that runs through Cathedral Grove. On the drive, you'll enjoy great views of one of the most spectacular mountains on Vancouver island, Mount Arrowsmith. The trail is an easy one. You'll hike around a sub-alpine lake called Labour Day Lake. This lake is the source of the Cameron River. It is surrounded by impressive old-growth montane (high elevation) forest. You'll be able to picnic, swim and relax beside the lake. The smells and forest is quite different from the lowland forest. And the mountain birds are a little different. This is where the Rainbird (Varied Thrush) resides in the summer. $114.00 per person + GST Easy hiking, a little more strenuous than walking - 7 hours
